Family Service Kent Food Drive |
50 Adelaide Street, Chatham |
Event DescriptionJust wanted to drop you a note letting you know that on September 23, Family Service Kent is running a Food Drive that will benefit the Little Free Pantry located outside our agency at 50 Adelaide Street in Chatham. The Little Free Pantry’s slogan is “Neighbours Helping Neighbours” so what better day to collect cans to share with our community? Community members can drop off food any time at the Little Free Pantry located beside Family Service Kent at 50 Adelaide Street South in Chatham. Any “overflow” or large donations can be brought into the Family Service Kent building between 9-5 on Monday, September 23. The primary purpose of the Little Free Pantry is to offer some support to anyone in the community who may be experiencing need. Food banks can’t always stay open 24 hours, but Little Free Pantries can. It also provides an opportunity to build a sense of community while providing a stigma- and barrier-free way to help people in need. |
